Images fugitives
was composed in 1997 for our daughter Noëlle-Anne Darbellay in view of a chamber music competition in the Tonhalle Zurich.
Almost like japanese Haïkus, very short „images“ are emerging, audible and „visible“ only a short moment.
The rests between the spots get a great importance, because the music seems to go on, without any sound, like unexpressed thoughts.
